Frau Beatrice Hussong

Klinischen Schwerpunkt bildet die internistische und endoskopische Betreuung von  Patienten mit chronischen Lebererkrankungen einschließlich der Behandlung bei Komplikationen der Leberzirrhose.

Im Zentrum der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit stehen Fragen zur Steuerung des programmierten Zelltods bei akuten und chronischen Lebererkrankungen bis hin zur molekularen Pathogenese der Tumorentstehung. Fokussiert auf die Rolle der TNF-Rezeptoren-Superfamilie und der nachgeschalteten intrazellulären Signalmoleküle arbeitet die Arbeitsgruppe Schuchmann an einer Vielzahl von in-vitro- und in-vivo-Modellen. Die Projekte werden aktuell von der DFG gefördert (DFG Schu 1239 3/1)
