Dental Clinic Location is located in close proximity to the facilities necessary for the success of the company. Dental Clinic Location is located in the Mainz University Hospital, home to approximately 200 dental professionals, scientists and researchers, and the Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Studies.
In addition, the proximity to the Gutenberg Health Hub (GHH) enables rapid implementation and customization of IT solutions. The Oral, Maxillofacial, and Facial Plastic Surgery department at the University Medical Center Mainz has a history spanning over 70 years. The integration of dental and medical specialties led to the creation of an integrated clinic in 2017. The current teaching structure involves clinically-focused presentations of medical cases in the main lecture. In the Oral, Maxillofacial, and Facial Plastic Surgery lecture, content is systematically presented with a focus on surgical methods. Lecture materials are accessible in PDF format on the ILIAS platform, and also presented in a Problem-Oriented Learning (POL) module as HTML files. Knowledge assessments are conducted through E-exams in collaboration with ZDV, allowing for evaluation of the teaching offering. Small group instruction emphasizes practical surgical skills, covering activities like blood collection, resuscitation, and suturing. Reflecting on my time as an ITI scholar at Mainz University Medical Center’s clinic of oral and maxillofacial surgery, I’m grateful for its transformative impact. Prof. Dr. Dr. Bilal Al Nawas provided invaluable mentorship, guiding my academic and career journey. Through diverse opportunities, I broadened my horizons and cultivated empathy and cultural awareness.
At Mainz University Medical Center, I was exposed to a wide range of implant cases. The prosthodontists were more than willing to provide guidance. The training I acquired shaped my career as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Nigeria. My experience in MKG Mainz was perhaps the most significant step in my professional career as an implantologist. Mainz, with its expert mentors provides an ideal environment to master all aspects of scientific implant dentistry. My time spent there was extremely productive, had able guidance from leading expert faculties (from the lab, through the clinics to publications), and in addition had a great time living in the city.
