Kasia was born and raised in Poland where she obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in biology at the Institute of Biochemistry at Casimir the Great University in Bydgoszcz and at the Faculty of Immunology at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Thorn, respectively. After her university education she began an internship at the Universitätsklinikum Eppendorf (UKE) in Hamburg, Germany. In August 2014 Kasia joined Prof. Dr. Rajalingam's lab and has been working on understanding the physiological role and mechanisms of action of the understudied atypical MAPKs. In particular, her main aim is to gain futher insights into the regulation and function of ERK3/MAPK6 as a part of a multidisciplinary project.
