EBM elective: How is knowledge created?
Questions from clinical practice are used to teach how scientific literature is researched, evaluated and then applied to patients. Each small group will be mentored by a clinician and a methodologist. The goal of the elective is to provide practical tools that enable students to find relevant studies, understand them, and critically reflect on their content.
The EbM week consists of the followin units:
- Introduction to the clinical topic
- Literature research
- Study designs and evidence pyramid
- Study assessment and bias
- Statistical basics
- Guidance and knowledge transfer
