Panagiota Mamareli

Panagiota Mamareli received her Bachelor`s degree in Biology at the University of Athens in Greece. She then continued her Master studies in chronic disease and inflammation with Wilhelm Schwaeble at the University of Leicester. In 2014 she started her PhD project at the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover/Twincore Center for Experimental and Clinical Infection Research in Hannover under the supervision of Tim Sparwasser and Matthias Lochner. During 2017 she received a DAAD scholarship to work as a visiting scientist at the department of Biochemistry and Immunology of the University of Sao Paulo in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil. In 2019 she moved to Mainz together with the laboratory of Tim Sparwasser to continue her PhD project on the characterization and metabolic manipulation of T cells and innate lymphoid cell populations under infectious or autoimmune diseases.
