The Conflicting Contributions of Platelets to Tumor Cell Metastasis

Harvey Roweth obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge (UK) for his studies on the Off-target mechanisms of platelet inhibition by selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Afterwards he joined the Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School (US) as a postdoctoral fellow where he studied Megakaryocyte reprogramming in breast cancer (Roweth et al., Sci Adv. 2022) and the function of platelet angiopoietin-1 in breast cancer growth and metastasis. He currently is an Instructor at Harvard Medical School and recently obtained an K99/R00 grant to fund his own independent research program.
