Welcome to the Neurological Study Center Homepage
The Study Center brings together the clinical study activities of the Department of Neurology, supports the implementation of new studies, initiates multicenter Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs) and trains the staff of the neurological clinic in the GCP-compliant study conduct.
Currently, clinical trials (phases II-IV; AWB) are being carried out in various neurological areas in collaboration with industry and IITs in accordance with ICH-GCP.

Recruitment of Study Patients
The recruitment of study patients happens via several routes. Most patients are informed through the special outpatient clinics of the department of Neurology (see below) about current studies. In addition patients who were hospitalized or are assigned by other hospitals can also be recruited. Depending on the study and if approved by the Ethics Commission, newspaper advertisements and / or posters may advertise the need for patients. Special cases may be obtained through cooperation with colleagues and established patients for study participation.
