Familial risks for bowl cancer - early detection in the general practitioner setting (FRIDA)

In cooperation with the Institute of General Medicine at Frankfurt University, we want to determine the familial risk for bowl cancer in people aged 40 years to 54 years. Individuals with an increased risk would then be offered a consultation with their family doctor regarding early detection examinations. We would like to find out to what extent the consultation results in the patient deciding to undergo the examination. We are also interested in whether the consultation and informed decision on the patient’s part are accompanied by a higher or lower level of fear.
