Post-COVID syndrome encompasses persistent symptoms that last for more than three months after a SARS-CoV-2 infection. However, the underlying causes are not yet fully understood, and current treatments therefore focus primarily on alleviating symptoms. For this reason, the University Medical Center Mainz is conducting the TheraSurv Post-COVID observational study as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate state initiative Post-COVID Round Table Rhineland-Palatinate. The aim of this initiative is to bring together relevant stakeholders in the healthcare system and jointly develop effective support services. The study, funded by the Ministry of Science and Health of Rhineland-Palatinate and the G. and I. Leifheit Foundation, systematically documents the treatment and course of disease of affected individuals in Rhineland-Palatinate using an app-based data collection system. This is intended to assess the effectiveness and safety of various therapeutic approaches, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological.
