Teaching

As one of the institutes of Medical School of the University Medical Center at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz we are assigned to teach basic principles of natural science and molecular medicine underlying biological processes as well as the development, diagnosis and therapy of disease. To do so we offer lectures, seminars and practical courses for medical and dentistry students in biochemistry and molecular biology.

For advanced students of medicine, biology, chemistry and pharmacy as well as diploma, bachelor, master and PhD students we are offering special seminars and quolloquia and introduce them to scientific working.

The responsible person for all teaching issues of the Institute for Pathobiochemistry is  Dr. Albrecht Clement.

Most courses in biochemistry and molecular biology of our institute are organized in close collaboration with the Institute for Physiological Chemistry.
