Our specialized outpatient clinic for bipolar disorders is for patients, which have already received a bipolar disorder diagnosis, and who look for psychiatric treatment or a second opinion regarding their current treatment. We do not perform an initial diagnostic workup in cases of suspected bipolar disorder. In this case, we ask you to first see a psychiatrist in private practice. Within the framework of the special outpatient clinic for bipolar disorders, a detailed disorder-specific survey of your current complaints, medical history and biography is carried out. Based on this, we conduct an individual consultation regarding your drug therapy. Individual and group psychotherapeutic treatments options are available in cooperation with the Outpatient Clinic for Psychotherapy of the University of Mainz (Prof. Dr. M. Wessa) and the University Clinic for Psychotherapy, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy Frankfurt (Prof. Dr. A. Reif), with whom we work closely together in an expert association, the Rhein-Main Network Bipolar Disorders.
