In randomized clinical trials we have developed and evaluated psychodynamic short-term treatments for panic and for social anxiety disorders. We study the long-term risks and outcomes of anxiety disorders in the Gutenberg Health Study (GHS) and the Gutenberg Covid Study (GCS). Together with Dr. Wiltink, Prof. Beutel has coordinated German guidelines for anxiety disorders which are currently under revision. We have extensive clinical experience in the successful day hospital and inpatient treatments of all anxiety disorders and also of comorbid anxiety disorders in somatic illness such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer.

• Assessment and diagnosis
• Counselling with regard to treatment recommendations (psychotherapy, psychopharmacology)
• Initiation of day hospital and outpatient treatments
