The UNLIMITED Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN) offers 15 full-time Doctoral Candidate (DC) positions (f/m/d) for 36 months, starting at the earliest on 1 August 2026 and running until 31 August 2029, within the Horizon Europe Programme.

UNLIMITED brings together a consortium of 15 beneficiaries (14 academic and 1 non-academic) to provide an interdisciplinary training programme in lipid immunometabolism, combining scientific, technical, and transferable skills.

The project investigates how lipid metabolism regulates immune cell function in diseases such as cancer and autoimmunity. Doctoral Candidates will be trained in interdisciplinary research spanning immunology, bioinformatics, metabolism, and drug development, using state-of-the-art approaches including multi-omics, single-cell technologies, and advanced lipidomics.

Available Positions and Research Topics

The 15 PhD positions are distributed across four thematic areas:

  • Single-cell and spatial analysis of lipid immunometabolism (Subprojects 1–5)

  • Molecular pathways linking lipid metabolism to immune function (Subprojects 6–10)

  • Tissue-specific and systemic metabolic regulation of immunity (Subprojects 11–13)

  • Therapeutic target discovery in lipid metabolism (Subprojects 14–15)
