Quality of life and parathyroid gland functioning after surgical treatment for thyroid cancer

The consequences of surgically-acquired hypoparathyroidism in thyroid cancer patients and their aftercare have rarely been evaluated. Based on a survey of afflicted patients, the extent to which quality of life restrictions occur and how treatment and aftercare can be optimized are examined.
