Notes on minimum doses of anti-infectives at EUCAST breakpoints

Please note,
that the interpretation of resistance according to EUCAST (European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing), i.e. the EUCAST breakpoints, is based on minimum doses of anti-infectives at which a successful therapy can be expected for sensitively tested germs.

The dose data, which are usually updated annually and do not constitute dosage recommendations, and interpretation criteria for individual bacteria are given in this table (Pdf, 718,5 KB).

Changes as of 01.01.2019

This letter (Pdf, 158,6 KB) informs about upcoming changes in the interpretation of microbiological findings and their effects on the MRGN classification.
For this purpose, advanced training courses are conducted, which are described in the letter above. If you would like to attend a training course within the department, you are welcome to make an appointment.

Enclosed are the slides  (Pdf, 1,1 MB)showing the new definition "i = increased exposure"
