02.06.2025 The Institute of Medical Microbiology and Hygiene cordially invites you to the inaugural lecture of Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Shneh Sethi, which will take place on Friday, 13 June 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the “Pathologie” Lecture Hall (Building 708 H) at the University Medical Center Mainz. With the title “Interaktion zwischen Rezeptoren des angeborenen Immunsystems und Infektionserregern,” PD Dr. Sethi will discuss key mechanisms of immune defense and their relevance for microbiological diagnostics and clinical practice. PD Dr. Sethi is Medical Director of Laboratory Medicine at the Catholic Hospital Koblenz - Montabaur and joined our institute this semester as a lecturer. With his broad clinical and diagnostic expertise, he contributes to a practice-oriented education for students of human and dental medicine.

As part of patient care, we provide comprehensive infectious disease care - this includes microbiological diagnostics of infectious diseases, screening tests and specialist advice on infectious disease issues. Another focus is hospital hygiene.
