15.12.2025 The 7th meeting of the Sino-German Mobility Program (M-0351) took place last week in Mainz and marked the conclusion of this successful funding program. The central element of the meeting was the two-day symposium “Converging Pathways in Immunity – from cells to clinical applications,” which was held at the Erbacher Hof Mainz. Six guests from the partner working group at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, including Prof. Peiying Li, attended the meeting. In addition, two international speakers from the USA, including keynote speaker Prof. Sunghee Cho, and more than 15 speakers from various research institutions throughout Germany were welcomed. The scientific program included thematic sessions on neuroimmune crosstalk, immunometabolism, and immune-associated diseases. The symposium was complemented by an Early Career Scientist Showcase Session, which offered young scientists the opportunity to present their current research projects and discuss them with the international guests. The meeting was distinguished by intensive scientific exchange, lively discussions, and numerous new ideas for future collaborations. It also marked the successful conclusion of the Sino-German Mobility Program and underscores the ongoing cooperation between IMMH Mainz and Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. The program was made possible by the Sino-German Center for Science Promotion (CDZ), a joint institution of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
