Hypertension Outpatient Clinic

The outpatient clinic for therapy-resistant arterial hypertension (high blood pressure) is a service for patients with difficult-to-control hypertension and special forms of hypertension. Our goal is to help affected patients as well as practicing physicians by providing comprehensive counseling, conducting further diagnostics and optimizing the resulting therapy.

Range of Services

  • Comprehensive diagnosis of arterial hypertension, including

    • screening for end organ damage
    • screening for secondary hypertension
    • sleep apnea screening

  • Acquisition and improvement of therapy adherence
  • Optimization of drug therapy
  • Therapy of special forms (pregnancy hypertension or exogenous hypertension) as well as the different hypertension phenotypes (isolated systolic hypertension, hypertension in the elderly)
  • Indications of drug-free treatment procedures

Required Documents

Please bring the following documents to the first examination (if available):

  • Information on previous therapy of arterial hypertension (including drug intolerance)
  • Documentation on comorbidities
  • Documents of previous examinations (especially ultrasound and blood tests, as well as long-term blood pressure measurements)
  • Current medication plan
  • Blood pressure recordings from home
  • Referral document (as available)
