Sexual desire, experience and satisfaction are often adversely affected in mental disorders. In many chronic physical diseases, particularly cancer of women and men, but also cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or neurological diseases, sexual dysfunctions may comprimise quality of life, self-esteem and partnership satisfaction. Fulfilling experiences of intimacy can be important resources in psychological or physical crisis.

In close cooperation with the Department of Obstetrics and Women's Health, the Department of Urology and Children's Urology, preventive medicine and the section Psychooncology we offer sexualmedical consultation.
