FZI-Seminar: "The cross-talk between complement and IgG Fc receptors in autoimmunity: who is in the driver’s seat?"

Veranstalter: Research Center for Immunotherapy

Jörg Köhl is member of the faculty of 1000 Prime in the field of Allergy and Hypersenitivity. He was studying medicine in Mainz. The research program of Prof. Köhl focuses on the cross-talk between different arms of the innate immune system, and its impact on adaptive immunity. In particular, the lab is interested in understanding the mechanisms underlying the cross-talk between receptors for complement cleavage products C3a and C5a, IgG Fc receptors, and Toll-like receptors. Recent data obtained from this work demonstrate that the cross-talk between such pathways is of critical importance in the pathogenesis of immune complex disease, allergic asthma and infection with intracellular pathogens. (see: www.f1000.com).
Before the seminar you will have the opportiunity to meet Prof. Köhl personally in a "Meet the Speaker". Just email or call the "Ansprechpartner" (see blow).

After the seminar we offer you a wine tasting of the Weingut Zehnerhof from Mainz Hechtsheim.
