Introductory Lecture on Research Data Management in (Bio-)Medicine (Online)

This online-lecture is an introduction to best practices in Research Data Management (RDM). Specifically, the lecture will start with fundamental concepts in RDM, such as the FAIR data principles. It will then be continued by following the research data life cycle, starting with planning a research project, and ending with digital preservation. Where relevant, the lecture will be punctuated with discipline-specific examples, with infrastructure and services offered by JGU Mainz or ZB MED, as well as with the very first results of the NFDI4Health and NFDI4Microbiota consortia.
