Carsten Deppermann is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the lab of Paul Kubes (Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases - The University of Calgary) where he studies the role of platelets in the liver using intravital microscopy. He is also interested in the role of tissue macrophages during lung injury, and the role of platelets during bacterial clearance in the liver. Carsten Deppermann has a PhD in Platelet Biology from the University of Würzburg, Germany and a MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Frankfurt, Germany.
