Translational Research
Our institute conducts research with the goal of establishing innovative diagnostic approaches that bridges the gap between basic science, clinical research, routine diagnostics, and patient care. In this way, we serve as a central link between basic research and patient-oriented research.
Our research focuses on four key areas:
- thrombotic microangiopathies (Falter research group)
- antiphospholipid antibodies (Müller-Calleja research group)
- modern and personalized molecular diagnostics (research groups Häuser and Rossmann)
- viral immunology, chronic inflammation, and environmental medicine (Skevaki research group)
