Marie Oster

PhD Student

I did my B.Sc and M.Sc degree in biology at Johannes-Gutenberg University. Because I am interested in biomedical research, I wrote my master thesis externally in the Institute of Pathobiochemistry of the University Medical Center in Mainz. My topic was the potential role of autophagy proteins in lipid droplet dynamics during autophagy in yeasts. Therefore, I applied molecular and biochemical methods such as Gibson cloning, fluorescence microscopy, SDS-PAGE and Western blotting. For my PhD I joined Prof. Dr. Rajalingam's lab in July 2021. The focus of my thesis will be on the physiological relevance of ERK3.
