Dr. Geethanjali Pickert

Dr. Geethanjali Pickert ist Postdoktorandin (Habilitation) am TIM.

Sie promovierte am Institut für Integrative  Neuroanatomie der Charité, Universitätsmedizin Berlin. 2008-2009 war sie Posdoktorandin und Stipendiatin am Institut für Molekulare Medizin der Universität Mainz (Labor Prof. M. Neurath). Von 2009-2012 wechselte sie zum Institut für Klinische Pharmakologie an der Universität Frankfurt. Seit 2013 arbeitet sie am Institut für Translationale Immunologie an der Universitätsmedizin Mainz.

In ihrer Forschung beschäftigt sie sich mit den immunologischen und molekularen Mechanismen von  Darmentzündung und Darmkrebs (speziell chronisch-entzündliche Darmerkrankungen (CED) und Dickdarmkrebs bei CED). Ein Teil ihrer Forschung zielt auf die Identifizierung neuer Biomarker und wichtiger ernährungsbedingter Auslöser für die Darmentzündung und den Darmkrebs ab.
