EU-funded Projects

The European Union (EU) offers a variety of funding opportunities through its EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 'Horizon 2020' (since 2021 'Horizon Europe').

Within Horizon 2020, the CTH successfully attracted funding for an international, interdisciplinary PhD programme within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA):

TICARDIO

As part of the European Joint Doctorates (EJD) programme 'Thromboinflammation in Cardiovascular Disease' (TICARDIO), four academic and five industrial partners have joined forces to form a consortium to decipher the multiple mechanisms of thromboinflammation. Within this consortium, 14 'Early Stage Researchers' (ESRs) are trained as biomedical researchers in excellent laboratories of multidisciplinary research centres and their associated industrial partners. The ESRs carry out their research projects across sites with 2 academic and one industrial partner, and are awarded a postgraduate double degree in their discipline upon successful completion.
