Doctoral Candidate Fellowship Program

The CTH supports motivated medical students with a salary support.

Requirements for the candidates are:

• Conduction of the thesis in a CTH or CTH-associated group, or with a thrombosis and hemostasis relevant topic
  
• Formulation of a career plan which extends beyond the completion of their degree
  
• Strong commitment to research
• One semester entirely dedicated to CTH-oriented research
• Attendance in CTH "soft-skills" courses
• Commitment of a mentor
  

 We offer:

• Salary support (HIWI-contract)
  
• Sponsorship of a conference/summer school
  
• Participation to Virchow-Fellowship soft-skill courses
  
• Participation in CTH Seminars / Journal Clubs
  

Procedures

• Contact working group
• Submission of the application to Dr. Jana Grünewald
  
• Evaluation by the Virchow-Evaluation-Committee based on th following criteria:

1. Individual motivation
2. Mentor-mentee relationship
3. Quality of the host laboratory and project, relevance for the CTH
4. Career plan
   
5. Equal opportunities
6. Additional comments (e.g. Prizes, Publications, etc.)
