Implementation of a library information system

An intranet-based system was implemented in the institute's library to manage the books. The digitally available bibliographic data were imported. In addition to recording loans and issuing reminder e-mails and reports, the system provides an online catalog that can be accessed from computers on the intranet of Mainz University Medical Center.
