DFG Research Units

DFG Research Units are alliances of several outstanding scientists funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) who work together on a defined research topic. Research Units often contribute to the establishment of new fields of research.

The CTH is involved in the following Research Unit:

INFINITE

The INFINITE Research Unit (The role of immune cells in the testis and epididymis) is investigating how an altered composition of immune cells in the testis and epididymis affects these organs in infectious and sterile inflammation, testicular cancer and ageing. A better understanding of tissue-specific immunity could also be used for the development of therapeutics.

Prof Dr Christoph Reinhardt (CTH) is involved in INFINITE with the following subproject:
