Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Helmut Neumann, FASGE

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Helmut Neumann gilt als international anerkannter Internist und Gastroenterologe mit Schwerpunkt im Bereich der interventionellen Endoskopie. Nach mehrjähriger Tätigkeit als Professor in Bayern wurde er 2016 als Leiter der Interdisziplinären Endoskopie der Universitätsmedizin Mainz auf eine Universitätsprofessur berufen.

Prof. Dr. Neumann ist als einziger Deutscher Mitglied im International Committee der Amerikanischen Gesellschaft für Endoskopie und wurde von dieser mit der Ehrenbezeichnung „FASGE“ ausgezeichnet. Er ist weiterhin Mitglied der Leitlinienkommission der Europäischen Gesellschaft für Endoskopie und ist für diese ebenfalls mitverantwortlich für den Bereich der Ausbildungsempfehlungen im Bereich fortgeschrittener bildgebender Verfahren.

Prof. Dr. Neumann erhielt mehrfach nationale sowie internationale Auszeichnungen und wurde zuletzt dreimal in Folge vom Magazin Focus als „Top-Mediziner“ ausgezeichnet.
