Projektbeschreibung

Um eine umfassende Einsicht in die Mechanismen von Thrombose und Hämostase zu bekommen, ist es wünschenswert bestehendes Wissen (z.B. aus vorhergehenden Experimenten) in die statistische Analyse einzubringen. Bei Studien mit sehr großer Anzahl an Messungen pro Einheit (z.B. Patient, Maus oder Zelle) und auch bei Studien mit sehr kleiner Fallzahl gibt es nur sehr wenige statistische Techniken, die dies erlauben. Die praktische Umsetzung der vorgeschlagenen Methoden ist schwierig, da nur wenig über die Eigenschaften der neuen Methoden bekannt ist.

Innerhalb dieses Projekts sollen statistische Methoden entwickelt werden, welche das Einbringen von Vorinformationen und die gemeinsame Analyse von Daten aus verschiedenen Experimenten ermöglichen. Dazu werden regularisierte Verfahren genutzt. Das Projekt startet mit der Entwicklung von geeigneten Methoden für zwei ausgewählte Bereiche innerhalb des CTH, welche dann für andere Situationen weiterentwickelt werden.
