Both supervisors have four weeks time for the assessment of the dissertation.
Should the dissertation be awarded a grade of 1.0 by both assessors and suggested for a distinction, the grade of the dissertation can be supplemented with “passed with distinction.” Then, a third, external assessment has to obtained by the Office of Doctoral Affairs.
The work will then be displayed for two weeks along with the assessments in the Office for Doctoral Affairs.
After the display period, an additional week must follow for potential written statements of faculty members.
The oral examination must take place no longer than two months after the end of the display period of the dissertation.
