Review and Display Phase
- Both supervisors have four weeks time for the assessment of the dissertation.
- Should the dissertation be awarded a grade of 1.0 by both assessors and suggested for a distinction, the grade of the dissertation can be supplemented with “passed with distinction.” Then, a third, external assessment has to obtained by the Office of Doctoral Affairs.
- The work will then be displayed for two weeks along with the assessments in the Office for Doctoral Affairs.
- After the display period, an additional week must follow for potential written statements of faculty members.
- The oral examination must take place no longer than two months after the end of the display period of the dissertation.
