- Forschungsschwerpunkte:
In unserer Arbeitsgruppe untersuchen wir die Prävalenz, sowie die ontogenetische und phylogenetische Entstehung von Variationen des menschlichen Körpers und diskutieren ihre mögliche Bedeutung im klinischen Alltag. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt dabei auf dem stomatognathen System, dem Gefäß- und Nervensystem, sowie dem Bewegungsapparat. Neben Methoden der klassischen Anatomie (z.B. makroskopische Präparation an Körperspenden, Mazeration) nutzt unsere Arbeitsgruppe eine Vielzahl licht- und elektronenmikroskopischer Verfahren.
