Organizer: Bioinformatics Core Facility BIUM-MZ and the Bioinformatics group at the IMBEI
This will be a hands-on workshop, where participants will receive an overview of the RNA-seq analysis pipeline, as well as the downstream analysis of the resulting data using Bioconductor packages in R.
Please note that this course does NOT cover NGS techniques, experimental design or statistical methods.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to run a typical RNA-seq workflow on a small dataset, understanding the essential steps of data exploration, modelling, and interpretation, using some of the Bioconductor packages developed by IMBEI (pcaExplorer, ideal, GeneTonic).
Target audience: : Life and medical scientists. This workshop is for everyone who is new in the RNA-seq data field but have some R and statistical knowledge.
Workshop: TBA
Location: TBA
Technial setup: : A Wi-Fi enabled laptop with the latest version of R and Bioconductor installed is required.
For the workshop,1 CP for scientific skills training can be credited.
