Hands on: Free Floating IHC-Technique and Confocal Microscopy
Practical Workshop
Course description:
This course deals with the method of Free Floating-immunohistochemical stainings for tissue sections. Already prepared brain sections of mice will be used for staining and subsequently analyzed by Laser Scanning Confocal Microscopy (LSM). Content-related, participants will get insights into the process of "adult neurogenesis" in the brain of mammals.
The aim of the course is to learn new techniques which can be easily adopted to other research fields than neurobiology.
Remark: Basic pipetting skills are mandatory.
