Your Digital Portfolio as a Researcher (Online)
Websites, LinkedIn, ResearchGate, ORCID, etc.
Digital profiles and web presences can be tools for visibility, networking, and career development. In this workshop, we will hone your digital portfolio to present your scientific and personal identity in a visible and consistent manner.
Through a combination of input, practical units, and peer feedback, we will strengthen participants' presence on different platforms – and reflect on their respective functions, target groups, and potential.
Workshop Objectives:
- Differentiating the function, benefits and interaction of different platforms (professional and personal websites, LinkedIn, ORCID, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, GND, and social media)
- Developing an individual profile strategy in line with individual communication and career goals
- Peer feedback on the outward perception of digital presence
- Optimizing profiles and web presences as well as concrete ideas for further development
