Qualification Program

The IRTG provides an individual training for the doctoral candidates and clinician scientists of the CRC 1292 to develop strong scientific and personal independence. It is highly flexible and customized to each members’ needs. In addition to some mandatory elements, optional training courses in order to get an individual training program can be chosen. The members of the IRTG can participate in all offered courses and events for free.

All biomedical doctoral candidates are required to achieve 180 credit points in total. The work on the research project corresponds to about 85% of the time invested in the doctoral studies (150 credit points). Furthermore, 20 credit points are assigned for technical training and interdisciplinary education and 10 credit points for multidisciplinary skills. One day of training equals to one credit point/day. The doctoral candidates are required to collect the certificates of attendance and to prove that they have achieved the required total amount of credit points before submitting their dissertation.
